The coffers of photos of street art in Oaxaca are growing by the day, and I find myself sometimes not taking photos of certain pieces because I know how much there really is!

The problem with that is that the next time I am in that spot, the piece might be gone.

Street art is an entropic practice - what you contribute will get covered, tattered, torn, ripped, scraped, rained on, or worse! But that’s OK, it’s an ephemeral practice.

A reminder that the ingredients we add to the human soup are everlasting, and also, temporary.

There is something freeing about that. Something that takes the temperature down.
